The 3 Days Bwindi gorilla trekking tour is an incredible journey into the dense forest of Bwindi National Park to see the family of mountain gorillas. Trekking with mountain gorillas is a lifetime experience and embarking on this short tour is a remarkable opportunity. Bwindi Impenetrable N/Park is a Ugandan National Park located on the Albertine rift valley area and shelters over 459 mountain gorillas plus other numerous animal species.
You will have a long day road trip transferring from Kampala to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park in Kabale district. Today’s drive covers 8-9 hours along the Kampala-Masaka-Mbarara route with en-route stopover at the Equator to take pictures and Igongo centre for lunch. Continue with incredibly scenic drive in the Kigezi region and arrive early to check in at the lodge.
Have breakfast, followed by briefing at the park offices –Ruhija, Buhoma, Rushaga & Nkuringo. All these 4 sectors have fully habituated gorilla families open for trekking and today, each sub-group of 8 tourists will have one gorilla group assigned to them to track. Depending on your fitness level, your trek may last for 2-6 hours and this includes an hour of observing gorillas daily behaviors and taking pictures.
After relaxation at the lodge, meet the experienced local guide for community tour in the Batwa pygmies. Get to know how the Batwa pygmies lived for years in the forest, their lifestyle, and they will also entertain you with their dances, music performances and sharing stories.
Delicious breakfast in the morning and after, you will be required to check out of the lodge. Our driver guide will drive you back to Kampala or Entebbe with a stopover at the Equator for photo taking and purchasing some souvenirs.
