You will then travel across the scenic countryside to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, home to nearly half of the world’s remaining mountain gorillas. Here you will embark on an incredible gorilla trekking adventure through the ancient rainforest to meet a habituated gorilla family and spend a magical hour observing them in their natural habitat.
After this once-in-a-lifetime wildlife experience, the safari continues to the breathtaking Lake Bunyonyi, one of Africa’s most scenic and peaceful lakes, known for its beautiful islands and terraced hills. The trip ends with a relaxing morning at the lake before returning to Kigali.

Day 1: Kigali City Tour and Transfer to Bwindi
Pick up from your hotel in Kigali and enjoy a short Kigali city tour including a visit to the Kigali Genocide Memorial. Afterward, drive through Rwanda’s scenic countryside and cross into Uganda via the Katuna Border. Continue to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park for dinner and overnight at your lodge.

Day 2: Gorilla Trekking and Transfer to Lake Bunyonyi
After an early breakfast, head to the park headquarters for a briefing before trekking into the rainforest in search of a gorilla family. Once located, spend one hour observing these gentle giants in their natural habitat. Enjoy your packed lunch in the forest before returning from the trek. Later transfer to Lake Bunyonyi for relaxation and overnight.

Day 3: Lake Bunyonyi and return to Kigali
